Super pub with a lovely garden leading to a public foot path up the hill to the Chapel

Just popped in for some hot chocolate and Dorset apple cake - both were great. Sat by the lovely open fire which was perfect after a rather cold walk up to St Catherine's Chapel. Saw some Sunday roasts come out which looked very good.

Fairly small selection of food and beer but what there was was OK. Beer is very expensive though. Service was rather slow. Could have done with more bar staff.

We arrived for dinner at 6.30pm and there was no-one else there at all, or staff! However, the owner appeared, and was very welcoming and let us sit wherever we wanted to with our dog. We chose the conservatory, which was quirky and warm, and felt like a private dining room! We both ordered the fish and chips for dinner. It came quickly and was delicious and good value. By the time we left, the pub had filled up. A lovely little pub in a beautiful place.

This is our second time here! Staff has been very friendly, food was delicious and Guinness was perfect! Scenery from the beer garden is beautiful too.

We came in the Summer to have a ploughman's, and found it so good we came back for another one, on the last day of our holiday! After having stayed overnight in their accommodation, and consumed a delicious breakfast, I can't recommend it enough. The staff have always been friendly, amenable and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy. Finally, the view of St Catherine's Chapel was amazing.
